Cheryl Fromholzer is a western clinical herbalist who provides a multi-faceted approach to holistic medicine combining customized herbal formulas with nutritional education and lifestyle guidance. Being a western herbalist means her focus is on using native plants.Much of the medicine in her herbal pharmacy is made from fresh, locally-grown medicinal herbs through wildcrafting forays or in support of CSA's (community supported agriculture) through the Sonoma County Herb Exchange… it's all about community!
Cheryl seeks to address the root of imbalance in an individual, not just the symptoms. Her goal is to stimulate one's innate healing power through the use of herbs. On a physical level, plant medicine provides overall support to the body such as building up immunity and how it handles stress as well as focusing on specific issues. Herbalism looks at the whole person to support any weaknesses in the body (known as deficiencies) so that the body overall may be stronger. Emotional and spiritual needs can also be addressed through plant spirit medicine and flower essences.
Cheryl is excited to bring her love and knowledge of herbal medicine to this wonderful holistic healing collaborative. A 20-minute session is offered at $20, and herbal formulas (alcohol tinctures) are offered at $10 an ounce. Acute issues (such as the flu) can usually be treated with one visit, whereas chronic problems generally require regular monthly visits until the root of the imbalance is identified and resolved.
